STEP ONE: MOTIVATION
Simply stated, “MOTIVATION” is the “WHY” question in the steps toward success. This is the reason or reasons for reaching your desired goals (step 3). Why do you want or need improvement, achievement, or success in (money, love, etc.) areas of your life? Is your need honestly based in reasons you truly believe? Do you have your – and other people’s – best interests at heart? Is your motivation honest, or is it selfish, dishonest, or “twisted” in some way? Are your reasons strong enough to push you each day towards rewards, even after the original enthusiasm has worn off? If you thought deeply about the reasoning behind each motivation, then each day, when you review this in your head, you should be saturated with enthusiasm! So be sure to know your motive: why exactly do you feel you need whatever it is you want?
It is always a good idea to write out your reasons and keep them to yourself, or share them with someone close and trusted. The best and most successful motivational reasons are those that are founded in goodness. These are productive ideas that will help you without hurting anyone in the process; this means seeking out “win/win” situations whereby you are successful and so is the other party or parties involved; nobody is stepped on or used to get “ahead.” Isn’t it better, for example, to want millions of dollars to help others (in addition to yourself), or just because you want to be rich? Abundance in life is possible without harming anyone or compromising one’s integrity.
It is one thing to know WHAT it is you want (steps 3 & 4), but first you must understand WHY you have each particular drive (MOTIVATION) towards these needs!
RULE: “MOTIVATION” is the WHY behind your success needs and the foundation for all success! The key to enjoying abundance is in building a solid foundation of goodness. MOTIVATION is the fuel for your “vehicle.”
